Brand the platform as your own
Put your logo, colours and application name on the platform, and serve it from your own domain, so partners see your product rather than ours.
This article shows how to white-label Datahubb, so the buyers, suppliers and affiliates who sign in see your brand from the login screen onward.
What you can change
| Element | Notes |
|---|---|
| Logo (Light Background) | The main logo. PNG or JPG, and around 400 by 400 pixels works well. |
| Logo (Dark Background) | A second version for dark mode, so a dark logo does not disappear |
| Favicon | The browser tab icon |
| Application name | The product name used in the interface and in emails |
| Timezone | The workspace's default timezone |
| Primary colour | Buttons, links, and active states |
| Secondary colour | Accents |
Upload both logo versions. A single logo that reads well on white usually vanishes on a dark background, and dark mode is a per-viewer choice you do not control.
Prerequisites
- Admin access, and the Brand Management feature on your plan
- Your logo files, and your colours as hex values
- Access to your DNS if you also want a custom domain
Set your branding
- Open Brand Management from the sidebar.
- Upload the light logo, the dark logo, and the favicon.
- Set the application name and the workspace timezone.
- Enter your primary and secondary colours as hex values.
- Use the preview to check the result before you commit.
- Save.
Branding is loaded before anyone signs in, so your login page carries it too. That is the first thing a partner sees, and the reason to get the logos right.
Add a custom domain
Serving the platform from your own address is what completes the white-label. Your partners never see a Datahubb URL.
- Add the domain in Brand Management.
- Follow the on-screen DNS instructions. You will be given the record type, name, value and TTL to create.
- Create that record with your DNS provider.
- Wait for DNS to propagate. This is usually quick but can take up to 24 hours.
- The certificate is provisioned automatically once the record resolves.
- Mark the domain as primary if it should be the main address.
Emails
Messages the platform sends use your branding too: your application name, your logo in the header, and your colours in the template. Set your branding before you invite partners, so their first email is already yours.
Expected result
The login page, the interface after sign-in, and the platform's emails all carry your logo, colours and name. If you added a domain, partners reach all of it at your own address over HTTPS.
Troubleshooting
- A logo is not showing. The upload failed, or the file is an unsupported format. Re-upload as PNG or JPG.
- The logo disappears in dark mode. Only the light version was uploaded. Add a dark background version.
- Colours are not applying. Use hex values in full form, then reload the page to clear the cached stylesheet.
- The custom domain does not resolve. DNS has not propagated yet, or the record does not match the instructions exactly. Re-check the record type, name and value.
- The domain resolves but the certificate is not ready. Give it a little longer. Provisioning happens after the record resolves.
- The login page shows default branding. The domain is not resolving to your workspace. Confirm the domain is added here as well as pointed in DNS.
- Emails are unbranded. Branding was set after those emails were queued, or the workspace has no branding saved.
